Patience is a wise thing to have
How simple it sounds doesn’t it? Be patient and humble when you sit at the poker table.
Edmund Burke said: Our patience will achieve more than our force.
Michelangelo said: Genius is eternal patience.
Benjamin Franklin said: He that can have patience can have what he will.
These quote’s from very wise people say it all. Being patient is a MUST when it comes to upping your poker game. Playing recklessly or being impatient is a fool’s folly.
Every time you feel impatient during a game, do this:
(1) Count down from 10
(2) Do some stretching exercises
(3) Focus on something else for a few seconds
(4) Get your mind back into the game
It may take a lot of hands before we get that nice monster hand and have a good chance to double our chip stack. But it is also said that poker professionals also make great Wall Street bankers because they are poker and know when to strike! Like a shark! If you play that mediocre Ax too much and not have the patience you will find out that tournament poker is a money wasting time for you. Remember, come back often to check for more tips.
Look out for more tips coming soon.
Greetings from Jake
